Why we can’t quote gold online
With bullion and jewellery, a few things come into play. We would rather be straight with you about them.
Reselling jewellery is different from buying it new. The price a stand-alone jewellery store charged is not what a piece resells for.
Some jewellery stores vastly inflate the value of their products. The number on your receipt may not reflect what the piece is worth today.
Every piece gets tested in our store to verify its specs, whether or not it comes with an appraisal.
The price of gold bullion is volatile and changes several times a day. A quote from this morning can be stale by this afternoon.
For these reasons we can’t give you an online quote for most bullion and jewellery items, but we are certainly interested. Bring it in to any of our stores at your convenience and one of our associates will look at it with you in person. Please bring along any paperwork you have for the item.
